Dayton, OH (February 5, 2024) – Police in Dayton responded to the scene of a two-car accident with injuries on Monday, February 5th. The accident took place around 2:00 p.m. on Albany Street near the intersection of Edwin C. Moses Boulevard.

According to a report from the Dayton Police Department, Deborah Troha, of Dayton, was driving a 2011 Toyota Highlander on Albany Street when she tried to make a left turn onto Edwin C. Moses Boulevard. As Troha made her turn, she failed to yield the right of way to an oncoming 2014 Dodge Charger, driven by Ja-Waan Hawkins, of Dayton. The two vehicles collided in the intersection. Hawkins suffered non-life-threatening injuries due to the accident. He was taken to Miami Valley Hospital where he received treatment. There is no further update on his condition at this time. Troha was not injured in the accident.

Following an investigation, police charged Troha with failing to yield the right of way. No further information has been released regarding the accident.
