Dayton, OH (February 3, 2024) – Police in Dayton responded to the scene of a two-vehicle accident with injuries on Friday, February 2nd. The accident was reported around 5:30 p.m. on Germantown Street near the intersection with West Stewart Street.

According to a report from the Dayton Police Department, a driver was traveling westbound in the right-hand lane of Germantown Street. The driver failed to reduce their speed for a slowed vehicle and collided with the back of a 2015 Buick Lacrosse driven by Cynthia Perry, of Dayton. Perry suffered injuries in the collision and was taken to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment. There is no word on her condition at this time. There were no further injuries reported and no additional cars were involved.

Police partially closed the road while they investigated the accident. During this time, drivers were advised to avoid the scene and to find alternate routes of travel if possible. The crash remains under investigation. There is no further information available.
