Jefferson Twp, OH (November 25, 2024) – An injury two-car crash occurred on Sunday afternoon at the entrance ramp to US 35 eastbound from State Route 435, leaving four individuals injured. The collision took place around 2:45 p.m. and involved a 2007 black Honda Ridgeline and a 1953 red Chevrolet Brougham, according to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.
The Honda Ridgeline, driven by 44-year-old Zachariah A. Doyle from Chillicothe, was heading westbound on SR 435 when he attempted a left-hand turn onto the US 35 eastbound ramp. The Ridgeline failed to yield to the oncoming Chevrolet Brougham, driven by 43-year-old Charles D. Adams of South Salem, causing the Chevrolet to strike the Honda.
Adams was airlifted from the scene by CareFlight and taken to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment. Doyle, along with two passengers—a 10-year-old and a 4-year-old—were transported by Jefferson Township Fire & EMS to Adena Fayette Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
Authorities responded quickly to the scene, managing traffic and securing the area. Firefighters assisted with the extraction of the vehicles, ensuring the safe removal of the injured individuals. The conditions of the injured remain undisclosed.
