Dayton, OH (June 28, 2024) – Officials in Dayton responded to the scene of a pedestrian crash involving a child on Thursday evening, June 27th. The crash was reported around 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of Everett Drive and Oxford Avenue.

According to an initial report, a juvenile was walking in the area when they were hit by a vehicle. The circumstances leading up to the accident have not been released at this time. Police say that the child suffered injuries in the collision. The nature and extent of the injuries were not immediately reported. The road was shut down while an investigation was conducted. During this time, drivers were told to avoid the area and to find an alternate route of travel if possible. There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed.
