Columbus, OH (January 19, 2025) – An injury pedestrian crash occurred on January 18 on the southeast side of Columbus. The incident took place around 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of Brice Road and Interstate 70. According to Columbus police, an SUV traveling down Brice Rd hit two pedestrians before fleeing the scene.
Emergency medical personnel treated one victim at the scene, while the other was transported to a nearby hospital for further care. Thankfully, both victims are expected to survive their injuries.
Authorities, including Columbus police, are investigating the incident, and the SUV involved has yet to be located. The crash caused significant traffic delays as officers worked to clear the area. Firefighters also assisted in the extraction of the victim’s vehicle and ensured that the scene was safe for recovery efforts.
The Columbus Police Department has urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
