Amelia, OH – Pedestrian Killed in Crash on East Ohio Pike

Amelia, OH (April 29, 2024) – A pedestrian was killed in a crash that took place in Amelia on Monday morning, April 29th. The incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. on the East Ohio Pike.

According to a report from the Ohio State Patrol, the victim was struck in the westbound lanes of the highway. The driver fled the scene after the crash. Police believe that the pedestrian may have been hit by a second vehicle after the initial collision. The victim, identified only as a man in his 20s or 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. At this time, police are still investigating the accident in order to determine the vehicle involved and in an attempt to locate the suspect. There is no additional information regarding the incident at this time.
