Moorefield Township, OH – Bicyclist Airlifted After Crash with Pickup Truck on Moorefield Rd.

Moorefield Township, OH (June 14, 2024) – A bicyclist suffered injuries following a crash in Moorefield Township on Thursday, June 13th. The incident took place around 6:45 p.m. on Moorefield Road, near Ridgewood Road.

According to officials, 75-year-old Jack Kibby, of Springfield, was riding his bicycle when he came to a stop sign at the intersection of Moorefield and Ridgewood. As Kibby proceeded into the intersection, he was struck by a pickup truck driven by 44-year-old Ryan Harris, of Springfield. Kibby was rushed to Mercy Health – Springfield Regional Medical Center where he was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Harris was not hurt in the accident. Police are still investigating at this time and have not said whether any charges will be filed. No further information has been released.
