Car Accidents in Ohio  Miami Township, OH - Two Hurt in Party Bus Crash on I-75

Most people get into a vehicle on a daily basis in order to travel to and from their destinations. Driving or riding as a passenger can feel like just another routine activity. It is easy to take our safety for granted and assume that a car accident will never happen to us. However, based on statistics from the Ohio Department of Public Safety, approximately 685 car accidents are reported across Ohio every single day. This number may sound shocking but it represents the reality that motorists face when they are on our streets and highways.

Not every reported car accident results in injuries. However, according to the most recent data, there have been more than 35,000 confirmed injuries in Ohio car accidents through December 18th. More than 5,000 of these injuries were classified as serious injuries, requiring extensive medical care and hospitalization. Sadly, over 1,100 people have also lost their lives in Ohio car accidents this year.

The cause of every car accident must be closely investigated by authorities. This process helps to determine the reason for the crash and which driver should be held responsible. In most cases, the crash is caused by the negligence of one or more motorists. If you or a family member were injured in a collision, you may have valuable legal rights under Ohio state law.
