Trotwood, OH (January 7, 2024) – The Trotwood Police Department responded to the scene of an injury crash on Saturday, January 6th. The collision was first reported around 5:00 p.m. on Salem Avenue near Turner Road.

According to a report, Oscar Lee Carr of Detroit, Michigan was driving a 2011 Ford F-150 southbound on Salem Avenue when he arrived at the intersection with Turner Road. Carr failed to slow his vehicle and collided with the rear-end of a 2007 Buick Lacrosse, driven by Kaneesha Byers of Dayton. There were at least two children in Byers vehicle at the time of the crash. Rescue workers arrived at the scene and treated a 10-year-old girl for undisclosed injuries. The girl was then taken to Dayton Childrens’ Hospital for further evaluation. There is no update on her condition at this time. No additional injuries were reported as a result of the accident. Carr was issued charges for his role in causing the accident. No additional information was released regarding the crash.
