Dayton, OH (January 13, 2024) – The Dayton Police Department responded to the scene of a two-car collision on Friday, January 12th. The accident happened around 6:30 p.m. on Linden Avenue near the intersection with Smithville Road.

According to a report from the scene, a driver was traveling westbound on Linden Road in the left-hand lane when their vehicle traveled left of center and entered the opposite travel lanes. While in the opposite lanes, the car collided head-on with a 1998 Honda Accord driven by Annika Baker, of Dayton. The driver of the first vehicle fled the scene after the collision. Baker suffered injuries in the accident. She was treated at the scene and then taken by the Dayton Fire Department to Kettering Health for further treatment. There is no update on her condition at this time.

The accident remains under investigation and police are still looking for the driver of the first car. No further details are available.
