Dayton, OH (March 21, 2024) – Police in the Dayton area responded to the scene of a deadly car accident on Thursday morning, March 21st. The crash took place just before 1:00 a.m. on Cemetery Avenue near U.S. Highway 52.

According to a report from the Ohio State Patrol, a 1997 Ford Ranger was traveling southbound on Cemetery Avenue. The Ranger left the road to the right and crashed into a parked 2005 Pontiac G6. The Pontiac was pushed forward and crashed into 44-year-old Jesse Lainhart, of Aberdeen. Lainhart was unloading items from a vehicle at the time of the crash. Paramedics rushed her to UC Medical Center where she died from her injuries. The driver of the Ford was not hurt while a passenger sustained minor injuries. Both drugs and alcohol are possibly played a role in the crash. An investigation remains ongoing at this time. There is no further information available.
