Dayton, OH (February 27, 2024) – Officials in Dayton were dispatched to the scene of an injury accident on Sunday, February 25th. The collision happened around 3:40 p.m. on Schaefer Street near the intersection with Maryland Avenue.
Authorities report that Joneal Brown, of Arlington, VA, was driving a black 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe westbound on Schaefer Street when he came to a stop sign at the intersection with Maryland Avenue. Brown failed to stop at the stop sign and entered the intersection, colliding with a 2017 Toyota Rav4 driven by Dajuana Lewis, of Dayton. Injuries were reported as a result of the collision. Lewis was treated at the scene before being taken to Miami Valley Hospital for additional treatment. Her current condition is unknown. Police charged Brown with failing to yield the right of way. No one else was hurt as a result of the crash. An investigation is underway. No further details have been released.
