Dayton, OH – Injuries Reported in Car Accident at E. Third St. and Webster St.

Dayton, OH (April 5, 2024) – Police in Dayton were dispatched to the scene of a two-car crash with injuries on Thursday, April 4th. The accident was reported around 3:20 p.m. on East Third Street near Webster Street.

According to a report from police, Brenda Coterel, of Dayton, was traveling eastbound on East Third Street when she merged into the left turn lane. When she reached the intersection with Webster Street, Coterel tried to make a left turn but failed to yield to an oncoming car driven by Jiyare Davenport, of Dayton. The two vehicles collided with each other, causing serious property damage. Davenport also sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the collision and was taken by ambulance to Miami Valley Hospital. There is no update on her condition at this time. Police charged Coterel with failure to yield the right of way when turning left. There is no further information at this time.
