Clayton, OH (December 20, 2023) – Officers with the Clayton Police Department responded to the scene of an automobile accident that resulted in injuries. The accident was reported to law enforcement at approximately 8:30 p.m. on December 17.

Police reports indicate that a silver 2013 Buick Lacrosse was heading eastbound on Westbrook Avenue. As the vehicle approached the intersection of North Main Street, the driver failed to stop at a red light. As a result, the vehicle collided with a white 2015 Chevrolet Malibu. The driver of the Buick initially fled the scene of the accident at a high rate of speed. However, authorities located the vehicle and the driver.

One person involved in the accident, identified as 32-year-old Shakeela Harris of Dayton, Ohio, was injured in the crash. She was transported to Miami Valley Main Campus for emergency care. At this time, the crash is being investigated.
