Washington Township, OH – Two-Vehicle Crash with Injuries Reported on Yankee Rd.

Washington Township, OH (April 6, 2024) – Officials in Washington Township responded to the scene of a two-vehicle injury crash on Wednesday, April 3rd. The crash took place around 8:30 a.m. on Yankee Road near Lyons Avenue.

According to a report from the scene, a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Lyons Avenue when the driver tried to make a left turn onto Yankee Road. The driver failed to yield the right of way to an oncoming vehicle leading to a collision. The driver of the second car sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Miami Valley South Hospital. After an investigation, police charged the driver of the first car with failure to yield the right of way at an intersection. There is no additional information at this time.
