Dayton, OH – One Hurt in Two-Car Crash on Emerson Ave.

Emerson, OH (January 31, 2024) – An injury crash was reported in Dayton on Tuesday, January 30th. The accident was reported at 7;40 a.m. on Emerson Avenue near the intersection with Salem Avenue.

According to a report from the scene, Cynthia Gray, of Dayton, was driving a red 2021 Chevrolet Malibu northwest on Emerson. At the same time, another driver was traveling behind Gray as she slowed her vehicle. The driver failed to reduce their speed and collided with the back of Gray’s car. The driver of the second vehicle was not immediately identified. Gray suffered injuries in the accident and was transported to Kettering Health Dayton for treatment. Her condition is not know at this time but her injuries are non-life-threatening. The road was closed as police conducted an investigation into the accident. Drivers were told to avoid the scene and to find alternate routes of travel if possible.

The crash remains under investigation at this time. There is no additional information available.
